Brief History
On the 14th of December 2884, the 14th Armoured Hunting Regiment took delivery of four of the new type S.A.F.S suits to replace the ailing A.F.S. On the 25th of December, Corporal Robert Bush using the new S.A.F.S caught a Nutrocker unescorted and easily defeated it. From that day the S.A.F.S gained a deadly reputation on the battlefield.

Pieces in olive green plastic plus 5 springs, 2 pieces of copper wire, 1 piece of steel wire and 1 piece of black wire. 2 figures, a pilots head and a full pilot figure standing consisting of 7 pieces. One decal sheet with three different unit markings. Note that the new re-releases of this kit now have completely different decal set in them to the original version.
Comments
One of many classic designs by Kow Yokoyama, the basic SAFS suit serves as a platform for many variants in the MAK universe. The kit is well moulded, arms and legs are fully posable, and it comes with a reasonably detailed cockpit with two pilots. All powered armour should look like this.

1/6 S.A.F.S MkI

Kit Details
Manufacturer.................Nitto
Released......................1985
Re-released...................2000
Scale............................1/6
Series No......................06.01
1985 Price....................15000 Yen
2000 Price....................15000 Yen
No. Pieces....................26 in dark olive green vinyl plus 3 springs and 3 aluminium
rods, one decal sheet and two insert cards.
This is a brand new kit re-tooled and re-packaged in a new white cardboard box not the older vanilla coloured type. The vinyl is of a very high quality as is the detail and decals.
Comments
The kit comes partly assembled although no pieces are permanently attached. Some parts have also been trimmed. Unfortunately the kit does not come with an antenna or heel hoses and these must be provided by the modeller. Also included in the kit is a standard camouflage card and a large A4 size card which has a break down of the kit pieces with instructions on the reverse side.
